CFIS-FM 93.1 is a not-for-profit community radio station based in Prince George, British Columbia, owned and operated by the Prince George Community Radio Society. Launched on July 3, 2007, the station began with a 5-watt signal under a developmental community license. In 2015, the station expanded its reach by increasing its transmitting power to 500 watts, allowing it to serve the entire Prince George area . CFIS-FM’s programming is diverse and locally focused, featuring a mix of pre-1980s pop music, community news, talk shows, and specialty programs. The station’s evening and weekend slots are dedicated to volunteer-produced content, highlighting local voices and interests . Notably, CFIS-FM has partnered with CFURadio 88.7 to offer an Indigenous Youth Radio Broadcast Training Program, providing hands-on training to Indigenous youth and fostering new voices in the broadcasting industry.​ Located at 1299 3rd Avenue in Prince George. The station relies heavily on volunteers and community involvement, offering opportunities for individuals to engage in various aspects of radio production and broadcasting. Listeners can tune in via FM radio at 93.1 or stream live online through the station’s website .​
